Obituary of Gilbert Lane Gabbard

GABBARD, Gilbert Lane age 58 of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Friday, January 20, 2017 at Hospice of Dayton. Born November 21, 1958 in Middletown, Ohio, Gilbert was the son of Estill and Myrtle (nee Griffey) Gabbard and was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Gilbert was a mechanic with Dominion transmission for 37 years and enjoyed remodeling homes and restoring antique cars, sleds and buggies. Preceded in death by his son Nathan Lane Gabbard in 1994 and brother Lonnie Gabbard in 2003; Gilbert leaves behind his loving wife Michael Ann Gabbard of Lebanon, Ohio; daughter Erin (Donald) Carson of Blanchester, Ohio; brother Limuel (Shirley) Gabbard of Blanchester, Ohio; sister Sheila Ann Howard of Lakeland, florida; four grandchildren and one great grandchild. The family will receive friends Friday, January 27, 2017 from 6pm until 7pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 7pm. A celebration of life gathering will be held January 28, 2017 from 2pm until 6pm at the Patton's Lodge located at 7562 Township Line Road, Waynesville, Ohio.
