Obituary of Gregory Wynn Hayes

HAYES, Gregory "Wynn" age 68 of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Monday, January 2, 2017 at Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties surrounded by his loving family. Born April 4, 1948 in Hazard, Kentucky, Wynn was the son of Carl and Mildred (nee Back) Hayes and was a loving son, brother, father and grandfather. Wynn was a proud U.S. Army Veteran of Vietnam and a retired Captain with Lebanon Correctional Institute. Wynn was a member of VFW Post 6069 and the Lebanon Eagles Lodge 1395. During his spare time, Wynn enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. Preceded in death by his parents, Wynn leaves behind his loving sons Byron Hayes of Tampa, Florida and Gregg Hayes of Centerville, Ohio; brothers Ron Hayes of Charlotte, North Carolina, Johnny Hayes of Paducah, Kentucky, Dr. Gary Hayes of Lebanon, Ohio, Darryl Hayes of Birmingham, Alabama and Ricky Hayes of Chillicothe, Ohio; sister Beverly Hayes of Lebanon, Ohio; grandchildren Braden and Abbey Hayes and former wife Brenda Hayes. The family will receive friends Friday, January 6, 2017 from 11am until 1pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 1pm with Pastor Steve Tufts officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the Lebanon Cemetery, Lebanon, Ohio.
