Your mom was so sweet to me. I was just the little neighbor girl, but loved her. She always made me laugh....she'd say I can't say Virgil, (although she just did) so she called her husband Victor. And she taught me life is too short to dust the sides of your furniture. She also taught me to make spaghetti the way she did. I still make it like that to this very day. I loved her smile. I loved that she wore curlers in her hair even when she had company. Big blue curlers. I just told my husband about her the other day. It was when he was setting off a few fireworks in the backyard. I told him about how my dad had thrown some cherry bombs into Phillips hand and burnt him. So many memories on that little street Drexel Avenue. You were blessed to have her as a mom, I just had her as a neighbor and she made me feel special.
