Obituary of Raymond Francis Long

LONG, Raymond Francis age 58 of Oregonia, Ohio passed peacefully Friday, March 4, 2016 at the Dayton VA Medical Center with his family by his side. Born March 17, 1957 in New Castle, Indiana, Ray was the son of Earl Frank Long and Betty Jane (Jordan) Shiplett and was a loving father, brother and friend to all who knew him. Ray was the owner/operator of Rays Home Repair and was known as "Mr. Fit-It". During his spare time, Ray enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Ray leaves behind his sons Michael Long of Tennessee and Cody Long of Oregonia, Ohio; former wife and mother of both sons Pam Long on Indiana; sisters Nancy (Melton) Soltus of Pennsylvania and Joanna (Melton) Lance of Indiana and girlfriend Rene' Mayer of Oregonia, Ohio;. The family will receive fronds Wednesday evening, March 9, 2016 from 4pm until 6pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home at 6pm with Kevin Stephens officiant. The family appreciates memorial donations that are directed to the Dayton VA Hospice or Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties.
