I remember when James was courting my sister Deana(Dean). He would come to the farm and they would go into the living room. As her "little brother", so would I. Finally, James would offer me a quarter to leave and stay gone.
Some years later, I was married, James and Dean helped us a lot as we were so poor, even giving me a job working for J&H Floors for a while until I could find a job.
Such a brother-in-law, such a friend, such a Christian gentleman. I will miss him as I miss Dean and Larry. But I will see them again when I get home.
We love this family.

I would like to say to the whole Sempsrott family how sorry I am to hear about Jim passing. He is surely having a great reunion not only with his Lord, but all friends and fAMILY that has gone on before him. I know my parents especially were blessed to share with the Sempsrotts again as they loved them very much. I am so thankful for the great n loving memories I have of our times spent together. We will keep you all in our prayers and ask God to give strength and His loving hand during this time of sorrow.. Love you all,, Nancy n family

Uncle James, I will miss your conservative farmer's sense of humor, christian wisdom and dungaree styled singing voice while taking business road trips.
Thank you for introducing me to the concept of being in business for myself, Dale Carnegie and Zig Zigler for their positive mental attitude approach to life. Those road trip lessons were a key development aspect of my character.
Thanks for finding and returning my first pocket knife that I lost at your farm 35 years ago. It was given to me by my parents on my 13th birthday and now my son has it for his 13th birthday. That act of fidelity and genuine thoughtfulness describes you best.
I know you are certainly in heaven getting a large family cookout area setup for those of us preparing to follow in our own due course of time.
You are still loved by those of us who remain. See you later !

I will always remember Jim as a hard worker and great family man. And the peanut butter fudge. He will be missed.
