Obituary of Roberta Callahan

CALLAHAN, Roberta (nee Abner) age 79 of South Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Sunday, August 23, 2015 with her family by her side. Born June 20, 1936 in Booneville, Kentucky, Roberta was the daughter of Irene Abner and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Roberta worked for many years at the Sterns & Foster Company and enjoyed embroidery, gardening and crocheting. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Clyde Callahan in 2006, daughter Bobbi Lodenwyck and brother Leon Abner; Roberta leaves behind her loving children Steve (Penny) Callahan of Wilmington, Ohio, Zona (Roy) Johnson of Goshen, Ohio, Anita (Kenneth) Gasaway of Middletown, Ohio, Kathy (Brad) Lindsey of West Melbourne, Florida and Karen (Gary) Francis of South Lebanon, Ohio; grandchildren Michael Allen, Melissa (Jeff) King, Michelle (Travis) Mink, Joseph Sallee, Meredith (Kenny) Gasaway, Jason (Teia) Sallee, Amanda Howard, Shelby (Taylor) Hitzman,Bailey Howard Eddie Gibson, Joshua Gibson, Jessica (Clifford) Beener, Rusty (Destiny) Kirk, Levi Kirk and Melinda Callahan (C. Merlott) ; great grandchildren Samantha, Natalie, Audrey, Ethan, Mark, Madalyn, Austin, Caley, Joseph, Emily, Derek, Aubrey, Courtney, Megan, Kendall, Samuel, Sophia, Jason, Colin, Julie, Matthew, Alyssa, Rylnn, Joshua Jr., Miranda, Marinah, Masie, Morgan, Zaden, and Casen; sister Nora Mobley of Ladson, South Carolina and many other family members and friends. Calling hours will be held Saturday, August 29, 2015 from 11am until 12:30pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home at 12:30pm with interment to follow in the Fellowship Cemetery, Union Township, Ohio.
