Obituary of Vada Deskins

DESKINS, Vada "Mickey" age 69 of Maineville, Ohio passed peacefully Wednesday morning, March 28, 2012 at Hospice of Cincinnati in Blue Ash, Ohio. Born September 19, 1942 in Williamson, West Virginia, Mickey was the daughter of Floyd and Creetie (Charles) Blackburn and a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Mickey enjoyed quilting, bird watching and most of all, spending time with her family. Preceded in death by her parents, sister Betty Scott and brothers Carl and Floyd Blackburn, Jr.; Mickey leaves behind her loving husband of 50 years Kelly B. Deskins of Maineville, Ohio; sons Carl David (Melissa) Deskins of Lebanon, Ohio and Gary Alan Deskins of Maineville, Ohio; sisters Von (Roger) Blackburn of Louisville, Kentucky, Ruby (Clarence) Corley and Nancy Kitchens both of Daytona Beach, Florida; grandchildren Bryan David and Amanda Kaye Deskins and many other family members, friends and neighbors. Friends may call on the family Sunday evening, April 1, 2012 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 2, 2012 at 11:00am at the funeral home with Reverend Dennis Whitacre officiating. Burial will follow in the Deerfield Cemetery in South Lebanon, Ohio.
