Pauline & Family We were sorry to hear of Ted's passing. Don and I both worked for Ted at CCI. Ted was probably one of the most respected and well liked wardens, we worked for during our careers. We were just recently on vacation in Gatlinburg and Kentucky and his name came up during this visit, wondering how he was doing and where he was. We will keep your family in our thoughts and prayers.

Pauline and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Ted was a good man that I really respected. In 1977, I talked to him about a job at Chillicothe Correctional Institute and he told the personnel officer to give me a job. He was told there were no job openings, and he said there was one now and it would be mine. Now, years later, I am retired and owe it to this fine man. May God bless you and your family.

My heartfelt condolences go out to the family of Mr. Ted Engle. He so good to my family. He was instrumental in hiring my Dad as a correctional officer back in 1970, at LCI. My Dad was out of work in 1970 at the age of 55 and still had two kids at home, myself and my brother, Rick, whom Mr. Engle also helped to find work at the Chillicothe Correctional Institution in Ohio. And he ever helped another of my brothers find work at LCI. He was friends with my Dad for many years and I think that friendship went all the way back to when the two lived in Hazard. God bless this fine man and may he rest in the Loving Arms of Jesus Christ for all of eternity. Most sincerely, Johnny Hayes
