Obituary of Challis Smith

SMITH, Challis E. age 56 of South Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Sunday, January 9, 2011 at Lebanon Country Manor with his family by his side. Born October 30, 1954 in Bell County, Kentucky, Challis was the son of David N. and Bernice (Warren) Smith and was a 1973 graduate of Kings High School. Challis was a loving father, son and brother who enjoyed drawing and fishing and had a great love of the State of Texas. Preceded in death by his sister Patricia Lynn Smith, Challis leaves behind his son Jason Smith of Morrow, Ohio; parents David N. and Bernice Smith of South Lebanon, Ohio; grandchildren Brady David and Parker Allen Smith of Morrow, Ohio; brothers James D. Smith of South Lebanon, Ohio and William Nathan Smith of Lebanon, Ohio; sisters Kathleen Keith of Blanchester, Ohio, Deborah K. Maurer of Jacksonville, Florida, Peggy Sue Nommay of Indianapolis, Indiana and Tammy Lee Mayer of Orlando, Florida and many nieces, nephews and other family members and friends. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at 1:00pm with Reverend Arthur McFarland officiating.
