Obituary of James Conover
CONOVER, James Marvin "Jim" age 79 of Fort Myers, Florida and formerly of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Hope Hospice in Fort Myers, Florida. Born August 20, 1935 in Glendale, Ohio, Jim was the son of Marvin and Mae (Young) Conover and was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Jim served his country proudly in the U.S. Army and retired from the Monsanto Research Laboratories in Miamisburg, Ohio where he was employed as a pipe fitter and a locksmith. During his spare time, Jim enjoyed raising horses for harness racing on his farm, riding his Harley, deer and mushroom hunting, fishing, golfing, grilling out and cooking and spending time with his family.. Jim had been a former member of the Lebanon Eagles Lodge #1395 and had donated a set of elk antlers from one of his hunting trips to the Lebanon Elk's Lodge. Preceded in death by his parents, Jim leaves behind his loving wife of 57 years Ramona (Wilder) Conover of Fort Myers, Florida; sons Jamie (Chrissie) Conover of Morrow, Ohio and Jeff (Gina) Conover of Springboro, Ohio; daughters Terri (Dwight) Sizemore and Pam (Jason) Richmond all of Lebanon, Ohio; sisters Patti Kuntz of West Chester, Ohio and Donna Pennington of Mason, Ohio; grandchildren Jason Ryan, Dylan Sizemore; Trevor, Troy and Trace Richmond, Koryn Blevins, Brodi, Tahlor and Colton Conover and Valerie Dixon; five great-grandchildren and many other family members and friends.
The family will receive friends Monday, February 23, 2015 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 1:00pm with Pastor Steve Tufts officiating. Burial will follow in the Crown Hill Memorial Park, Cincinnati, Ohio.
