When I was 13 Jim took me out in our dads wrecker, stopped , opened the door and said sis you drive or you walk. With a stick shift on the floor I did it with only the cost of a new clutch. Jim always loved hot fast cars. He taught me and Ramona how to drag race and speed shift. Ramona still drives like that, and I am lucky to get to the grocery store. When it came to dancing him and Ramona were Dancing with the Stars winners. Number 1 Jitter Bug champs. Jim was the most loving, generous and kind brother anyone could have asked for, I was very blessed. Love Patty

You will be missed uncle Jim! I am glad we got to see you on your birthday last year it brought back many good memories. I still remember going to the farm house for the super bowl party every year and getting to eat your special Sloppy Joe recipe (the batch you made with deer meat). And listening to all those stories you would tell about hunting in Michigan. You and grandpa were the best story tellers. You were a great uncle RIP...

We all will miss you my friend you are one of the kind that all has something good to say about you. I do remember the good times we had together over the years I cant say enough about them. We had many family outings, boating , trained and raced horses together for many years , and just hung out. You was my brother in law , friend , buddy , and a older brother to me for sure. My sympathy goes out to Romana and your family with your passing but you will always remain in the hearts of us that knew you well! With love your buddy , Ron

I have so many wonderful memories of my brother Jim. Jim was already a young man when I came along. It would have been natural for us to not have much of a relationship, given our age difference. But that certainly wasn't the case and I attribute that to both Jim and Ramona. To think of them now as a young married couple I know how lucky I was to have Jim as my brother. My memories of my brother Jim are vast and incredibly happy. Jim and Ramona took me and my now husband, Ron, when they would water ski and boat on the Little Miami river in South Lebanon before they broke the dam. They took me on a trip to Cumberland lake. We went to the go- cart track in Mason where they both raced go carts. I loved going to Lebanon Raceway back when Jim, our dad and, later, my husband, Ron, raced there. I spent countless hours at their farmhouse as they were starting and raising their family. I was so fortunate to have Jim as an older brother. He was so generous and giving with his time and his possessions. I laugh now as I write this-thinking about Jim's kindness and generosity. One of my favorite stories about Jim is when he let me borrow their brand new white Buick. I was in high school and I asked him if I could borrow his new car to drive to Sharon Woods to hang out with my friends for the day. Without hesitation, he handed me the keys. He never told me when to be back or take care with their new car. This was my big brother Jim. One terrific man. Love you big brother and I am going to miss you.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Uncle Jim was a wonderful man that will be missed dearly. He was such a strong and kind man. He never needed to be in the spotlight. He always seemed happy to sit back and enjoy himself - always with a smile on his face. I have such wonderful childhood memories of him. He always welcomed us to his home. He made the hottest fires I have ever experienced in a home. He made the best baked beans I have ever eaten. He knew how to laugh and have a good time. I'll never forget traveling to FL and joking on the CB radios on the trip. He loved his family. He was generous and always so laid back. He was a good man. He will be missed but I am so glad I had the chance to grow up knowing him.

Dear Conover Family: I am so sorry to have read of your loss. Please accept my sincere condolences. I would like to share something that I have personally found to be comforting. It is found in the Bible at John 5:28,29 and Revelation 21:4. These verses tell us that soon God is going to bring about a resurrection of our loved ones as well as do away with all causes we have for suffering, including sickness and death. Knowing this has always comforted me and it is my hope that these thoughts will comfort your family also.
