Obituary of Ottis Bishop

BISHOP, Ottis "OT" age 79 of Maineville, Ohio passed peacefully Sunday evening, February 1, 2015 at the Avalon of Maineville. Born February 18, 1935 in Clay County, Kentucky, Ottis was the son of Justice and Della Mae (Baker) Bishop and was a loving husband, father, son, brother and uncle. Ottis was the owner/operator of Bishop Oil, a member of the First Baptist Church of South Lebanon and a Hamilton Township Trustee for 36 years. Preceded in death by his parents and sister Reba Butler; Ottis leaves behind his loving wife of 57 years Charity (Deaton) Bishop of Maineville, Ohio; son Kerry "Scotty" Bishop of Maineville, Ohio; brothers Howard (Linda) Bishop of Morrow, Ohio, Ellis (Beulah) Bishop of Pleasant Plain, Ohio, Johnny (Betty) Bishop of Oneida, Kentucky, Jobie Bishop of Maineville, Ohio, Leon Bishop of South Lebanon, Ohio, Alvin Bishop of Maineville, Ohio and Billy Ray (Mea) Bishop of Maineville, Ohio; sisters Mary Fern Wilder of Maineville, Ohio; Orvalene (Carl) Martin of Morrow, Ohio and Edna (Gary) Dean of London, Kentucky and many nieces, nephews and other family members. The family will receive friends Friday, February 6, 2015 from 11am until 1pm at the First Baptist Church of South Lebanon, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at the church at 1pm with Pastor David Frasure officiating. Burial will follow in the Deerfiend Cemetery, South Lebanon, Ohio.
