There are so many things that will remind me of you. But my fondest thought will be how you never lost your love of bling ! You loved your hair so so, your cheeks so pink and your nails to match. You loved your little rings, necklaces and bracelets. And the way you watched out for others in the nursing home. I can see you handing them a napkin or a tissue.... You wouldn't say a word ....just slide it across the table. Sure I have childhood memories but these are current. Things I watched you do the last 4 years of your life. We are missing you terribly! But we shall meet again in a place where there is no darkness. Fly high and Rest In Peace ... I love you!!

We are deeply sorry to hear of Elvira's passing. She was a joy to visit with at the nursing home where she lived with my mother. I know she will be missed around the table and at the home she shared with others. May you all find peace knowing she is in a happier place in Heaven.

My memories of grandma Johnson were holiday gatherings, the silver tinseled Christmas tree, smelling the home cooking, listening to laughter and watching the fireplace. In the summers sitting out on the front porch stringing beans from her and grandpas garden and admiring the flowers that surrounded the porch. Watching her sing in the church choir and how she played "Little Brown Jug" on the harmonica. Most of all her big blue eyes and smile. Every time I hear that song "Elvira" I know the Oak Ridge Boys wrote that for you.
