Obituary of Vernon Hollon

HOLLON, Vernon age 79 of South Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Tuesday afternoon, July 1, 2014 at Clinton Memorial Hospital. Born September 3, 1934 in Wolfe County, Kentucky, Vernon was the son of Bradley and Callie (Blankenship) Hollon and was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Vernon was a retired steel fabricator from Dave Steel in Lebanon, a member of the United Church of God in Milford, Ohio and the United Iron Workers Union. Preceded in death by his parents, loving wife Daisy Hollon, brothers Grant and Herschel Hollon, sisters Annie & Mary Taulbee, Laura Mullins, Dorothy Centers, Josephine Peyton, Daisy Adams, Lucille Banks; Vernon leaves behind his loving children Derrick (Liz) Hollon of South Lebanon, Ohio, Glen Edward (Rebecca Joy) Hollon of Ross, Ohio and Donna (Timothy) Cook of Blanchester, Ohio; sisters Bonnie Campbell and Jewel Brandenburg; twelve grandchildren and fsixteen great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Saturday, July 5, 2014 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 1:00pm with Pastor Jim O'Brien officiaitng. Burial will follow in the Deerfield Cemetery, South Lebanon, Ohio.
