Obituary of Clifford Morningstar II

MORNINGSTAR, Clifford Darrell II age 77 of Lebanon, Ohio formerly of Clarksville, Ohio passed peacefully Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Dayton VA Medical Center. Born February 25, 1937 in Hamilton, Ohio, Clifford was the son of Clifford Darrell and Lillian (Urton) Morningstar, I and was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. Clifford was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran, a member of the Lebanon Elks Lodge, Wilmington Elks Lodge 797, Wilmington American Legion Post #49 and the Sabina Masonic Lodge. Clifford was the owner/operator of the Morningstar Services and in his spare time he enjoyed golfing, motorcycling and spending time with his family. Preceded in death by his parents, Clifford leaves behind his loving wife Marjorie (Gross) Morningstar, sons Clifford D. (Jiffy Stiles) Morningstar III and Bradley Morningstar; daughters Dawn (Dana) Kingan, Sonya Matthews and Robin (Rick) Vollett; brother Richard McKinney; sisters Barbara Spencer, Sharon Feltner, Cynthia Hopkins and Sue Chasteen; grandchildren, Andrea, Heather, Patricia, Rhea, Chelsea, Amanda and Shane; great-grandchildren Reagan, Cambron,Anna. Eli, Corin, Blaize, Braxton, Jordan, Marcus, Zayne, Keaton and Bentley and many other family members and friends. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 1:30pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home with Clifford's longtime friend and memorial team member Deacon Bob Baker officiating . Military Honors will be provided by the Wilmington American Legion Post #49 Memorial Team. A reception with refreshments will follow the service at the funeral home. The family appreciates memorial donations that are directed to the VA Hospice Fund, VA Medical Center, 4100 West third Street, Dayton, Ohio 45428-9907.
