Obituary of Juanita Burns

BURNS, Juanita M. (nee Morgan) age 82 of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully early Thursday morning, November 7, 2013 at West Chester Medical Center with her family by her side. Born November 8, 1930 in Hyden, Kentucky, Juanita was the daughter of Parley and Esther (Woods) Morgan and was a retired elementary school teacher with the Lebanon City Schools where she taught second grade for 38 years. Juanita had a grand total of 46 years of teaching with an additional 8 years spent teaching elementary school in the Hyden, Kentucky area. Juanita graduated from Hyden High School and then earned her teaching degree at Eastern Kentucky University in 1954. Juanita had been a member of the Lebanon Education Association and was a former Campfire Girls Troop Leader. Juanita enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents and brothers Roy, Ray and Eric Morgan; Juanita leaves behind her loving children Joe Burns of Lebanon, Ohio, Martha Burns of Sharonville, Ohio, Theresa Collins of Ft. Thomas, Kentucky and Mary Esther (Ronald) Couch of Kentucky; brother Joe (Thelma) Morgan of Hyden, Kentucky; grandchildren Ronald Joseph Couch, Shannon Renee Couch, Chad Ellis Burns, Jennifer Ann Collins, Ben Burns and Krysalea Marie Burns; great-grandchildren Cameron Couch, Bryce Seither, Brynn Morgan Seither, Carter Ollier and Addison Morgan Burns. Receiving of friends will be held Sunday, November 10, 2013 from 2:00pm until 3:00pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 3:00pm with Pastor Doug Sibcy officiating.
