I met Doris when we entered high school. She and her sister Velma became close friends and we remained friends all through high school. I have so many pleasant memories of our times together. I loved visiting her home in Yamacraw and then in Stearns. She was a lovely girl and had a great personality. Sadly we did not live close after high school but I never forgot her. My heart goes out to John and her family.

Doris came into my life when I was 7 yrs old. She married my big brother John and became not only my sister-in-law but the sister I never had. She was such a beautiful lady inside and out and leaves us with broken hearts, but we know that she is a special angel in heaven now and will be there to welcome us home. Love you Doris.
