Obituary of Barbara Welles

WELLES, Barbara Ruth (nee Isble) age 79 of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Thursday evening November 3, 2011 at the Otterbein Retirement Community surrounded by family following a brief illness. Born July 30, 1932 in Dayton, Ohio, Barbara was the daughter of Irvin O. and Mary A. (Sharpe) Isble and a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. Barbara was a graduate of Stivers High School and retired from the Real Estate business. Barbara was raised in Dayton, lived for 20 years in Crystal Lake, Ohio and 38 years in New Carlisle before moving to Lebanon, Ohio. Barbara enjoyed reading and singing but most of all, spending time with her family. Preceded in death by her parents, husband of 40 years Robert F. Welles, Sr., brothers Don, Jr. (Buzz) ,Irvin, Norm, Earl, Floyd (Cook) and Doug and sisters Hazel and Joyce; Barbara leaves behind her son Robert F. "Gus" Welles, Jr. of New Carlisle, Ohio, daughters Karen Crauder of Crovallis, OR., Robyn Sheehan of Lebanon, Ohio and Toni Welles of Lebanon, Ohio; brothers David and Dan Isble; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A memorial service will be held Sunday, November 13, 2011 with calling hour from 2:00pm until 3:00pm with a 3:00pm service conducted in their mother's memory by her daughters.
