Although I've been away from the Carrier family for many years, I've always loved Shirley and held her in the highest esteem. She was the genuine article - honest, quick witted, with a great sense of humor, and believe me, you couldn't get anything over on her! (smile) It was an honor to have known her and I regret that circumstances were such that I wasn't able to spend more time with her, listening to her precious gems of wisdom and laughing at her funny stories. I'm saddened that she will no longer be with her children, of whom she cared for deeply. My deepest sympathies to all of the family.

You were the aunt that every girl wishes for. I cherish many, many childhood memories as well as more recent ones that we shared. There aren't too many people who have a "doubles" family like ours and only we know how much that meant through the years. Grandma you know how much she loved you and enjoyed being in your company. She may be very young now but I know that she will carry your memory with her everywhere she goes. She loved coming to see Gigi and Duffey Dog. I hope that she takes away many of the lessons you tried to help teach her over the years!
