Obituary of Carolyn L. Lambert
LAMBERT, Carolyn Louise (nee Lenz) age 92 of Lebanon, Ohio passed away August 6, 2017 . She was born to Carl and Katherine (Leisz) Lenz of Miamisburg, Ohio May 11, 1925. She married Robert Allen Lambert on September 12, 1947. Carolyn graduated from Miamisburg High School in 1943, Miami Valley Hospital School of Nursing iwith a diploma in Nursing in 1947. She graduated from Central State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Health Education in 1976. After practicing nursing at Miami Valley Hospital in the beginning of her career, she hired into the Lebanon, Ohio Public School System as their school nurse. She remained in that position for 34 years unitl her retirement in 1986. Finding retirement too quiet, she began working part time for Drs. Berninger and Hayes until her second retirement. She was a 52 year member of the Lebanon United Methodist church. She was a member of the Warren County Nurse's Association, the Retired Ohio Teacher's Association, the Lebanon Garden Club, the Warren County Genealogical Society and the Lebanon YMCA. she enjoyed gardening, swimming, traveling, reading, square dancing and researching her family genealogy as well as volunteering for many years for Lebanon Community Services and Interfaith Hospitality. Preceded in death by her parents Carl and Katherine Lenz and her husband Robert Allen Lambert, she is survived by her two daughters Suzanne Konieczny (Leon) of Warren, Michigan and Kathleen Darst (Gene) of Ocala, Florida, two granddaughters Cheryl Konieczny (Stephen Grant) of Peoria, Illinois and Sarah Mistretta of Warren , Michigan, one great granddaughter Ariana Mistretta, her brother James (Kaye) Lenzof Miamisburg, Ohio; 4 nephews Fred, Scott, Ben and Jim Lenz and three nieces Anita Mitchell, Kim Schroeder and Carol Ann Johnson. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 18, 2017 at 1:30pm at Stine Kilburn funeral home with reverend Steve Cramer officiating. The family appreciates memorial donations directed to the Lebanon United Methodist Church or Interfaith Hospitality.
