Obituary of Harry D. Semple
SEMPLE, Harry D. age 84 of Lebanon, Ohio and formerly of Cincinnati, Ohio passed peacefully Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Jewish Hospital in Kenwood, Ohio. Born April 5, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois, Harry grew up in Terrace Park and graduated from Terrace Park High School. Harry became a pilot at age 14 at Lunken Airport and earned his Bachelor's Degree from Ohio University. Harry served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 until 1957 earning the rank of Captain. Harry worked for many different entities during his working career including Kroger, Container Corporation, the B & O Railroad, Standard Oil, National Drug Stores, Fahlgren and Swink, Gordon B. Miller & Company, Smyth Automotive and Semple and Associates Auctioneers. Harry founded his own company, Incentives Works Corporation in 1973 and later dissolved the company in 2007. Preceded in death by his parents Harry D. and Janet (Rigg) Semple, son Robert Wayne Semple and brother Garth Semple; Harry leaves behind his loving wife of 40 years Ruby (Malott) Semple of Lebanon, Ohio; sons Steve (Angel) Semple and James (Rick) Ross; daughters Shari Harris, Debora (Jon) Washburn, Elizabeth (Beth) Banning, daughter-in-law Laurie Semple; fifteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Sunday, April 2, 2017 from 6pm until 8pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home.
