Obituary of Shelby Byrge

BYRGE, Shelby (nee Davis) age 79 of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Wednesday morning, January 11, 2017 at Bethesda Arrowsprings with her family by her side. Born May 27, 1937 in Pennington Gap, Virginia, Shelby was the daughter of Dermon and Roxie (nee McClancy) Davis and was a loving mother and grandmother. Shelby had served proudly in the U.S. Women's Army Corps from june of 1955 until September of 1958 where she was a Specialist Fourth Class. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Ralph Byrge, step-father Robert Kilburn, brother Howard Donald Davis, sister Mary Goodson and son-in-law Steven Kelly Reif;; Shelby leaves behind her children Carolyn Reif, Michael Davis, Lisa Byrge, Ralph (Jackie) Byrge & Donald (Carrie) Byrge; grandchildren Zachary Reif, James Cody Elam, Ryan Byrge, Taylor Saporito, Kaleb Byrge, Shelby Byrge, Wesley Byrge, Meghan Shaw and Cody Foster; great-grandchildren Cayden & Addison Saporito, Alexis Byrge, Kennedy Elam and Baylie Byrge; brother Ronald (Mary) Davis; sisters Shirley (Jack) Joyce and Sandy (Larry) Robinson, sister-in-law Norma Spencer Davis ; Shane Bryant, Timothy McDoughna and Jamie Ware and many other family members and friends. The family will receive friends Monday, January 16, 2017 from 11am until 1pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 1pm with Pastor Steve Tufts officiating. Burial will follow in the Lebanon Cemetery, Lebanon, Ohio.
