Obituary of Emma J. Edwards

EDWARDS, Emma Jean (nee Cook) age 82 of Clarksville, Ohio passed peacefully Monday, January 9, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Born October 6, 1934 in Green Hall, Kentucky, Emma was the daughter of Daniel and Chloe (nee Peters) Cook and was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Emma was a dedicated member of the Full Gospel Church of God in Lebanon, Ohio and enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking and reading her Bible. Preceded in death by her parents and son Steven Edwards; Emma leaves behind her loving husband of 62 years Charles Edwards of Clarksville, Ohio; sons Wayne (Kathy) Edwards of Lebanon, Ohio and Donny (Dana) Edwards of South Bloomfield, Ohio; daughtersRobin (Joe) Gross of Lebanon, Ohio and Penny (Michael) O'Connell of Lebanon, Ohio; brothers John (Pat) Cook of Pike County, Ohio, Glenn (Mildred) Cook of Cincinnati, Ohio, Carl (Janice) Cook of Hillsboro, Ohio and Keith Cook of Chillicothe, Ohio; sister Helen Wilson of Maineville, Ohio; ten grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 6pm until 8pm at the Full Gospel Church of God, 1502 Deerfield Road, Lebanon, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at the church Friday, January 13, 2017 at 10am with Pastor Brian Smith and Pastor Ray Napier officiating. Burial will follow in the Cottie's Corner Cemetery, Pike County, Ohio.
