Obituary of Nelle C. Deger

DEGER, Nelle C. (nee Cotterman) age 93 of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at the Atrium Medical Center with her family by her side. Born July 3, 1923 in Dayton, Ohio, Nelle was the daughter of Frank and Lola (Smith) Cotterman and was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Nelle worked along side of her husband at Deger-Novak Construction and was a member of the St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church. Nelle grew up ion a farm and was very involved with the family farm where they raised registered Angus cattle. Nelle was always very active in her community as a member of the Lebanon Garden Club, Lebanon Book Club, exhibited antiques and flowers at the Warren County Fair, for many years she enjoyed playing in numerous card clubs - especially the Friday night "fun bunch". Preceded in death by her parents, husband Thomas L. Deger in 1989 and sisters Carolyn Sollars and infant Jane Cotterman; Nelle leaves behind her loving children Julia Schwartz of Washington CH, Ohio and Stephen T. Deger of Lebanon, Ohio; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Sunday, December 11, 2016 from 1pm until 3pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 3pm with Father Bernard Weldishofer officiating. Burial will be held Monday, December 12, 2016 at 11am at the Turtlecreek Cemetery, Lebanon, Ohio. The family suggests memorial contributions may be given to St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church , 20 De Sales Avenue, Lebanon, Ohio 45036.
