Obituary of Julius Russell Glaser

GLASER, Julius Russell age 86 of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Saturday, November 12, 2016 at the Mason Christian Village in Mason, Ohio. Born September 16, 1930 in Goodrich, North Dakota, Julius was the son of Julius and Elsie Marie (Tagatz) Glaser and was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was married to Marla June (Burton) Glaser for 65 years. Together they raised there children Julene Rene Glaser, Julius Russell Glaser, Jr, and Gail Ilene (Glaser) Gibbens, and they enjoyed their grandchildren Jordan Glaser, Rachel Gibbens and Maggie Gibbens. Julius was a graduate of Goodrich High School, served his country proudly in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Era, and was retired with 40 years of service from G.E. Aircraft Engines where he was a manager over Testing and Development. Julius was a member of the Lebanon Presbyterian Church, and a former member of the Lebanon Elks Lodge during his spare time. Julius had a kind and generous spirit. At times, he coached youth baseball and played Santa for his grandchildren, and kids in need in the Greater Cincinnati area. After retirement, he was a mentor for the Warren County Juvenile Court. The family will receive friends at the visitation on Thursday, November 17, 2016 from 6pm until 7pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home at 7pm with Pastor Doug Sibcy officiating. The family appreciates memorial donations that are directed to the Lebanon Public Library.
