Obituary of George William Hall

HALL, George William age 94 of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Saturday, October 29, 2016 at the Hospice Unit at the Dayton VA Medical Center. Born January 8, 1922 in Dayton, Ohio, George was the son of William F. and Ruth (Bennett) Hall and was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. George was a graduate of Miamisburg High School and served his country proudly in the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII. He was stationed aboard the USS Pocatello PF9 in the Pacific Theatre as a Seaman First Class. Preceded in death by his parents, wife Viva "Vi" Hall, brothers Wilbur and Harold Hall and sisters Margaret Jefferson and Geneva Lewis ; George leaves behind his loving children Nancy May, Laverne (John) Vencill, Bea (Darrell) Hall-Hinkle and Teresa (Ben) Sanders; grandchildren Katey, Kristy, Erin, Shannon, Billy, Andy, Jeremy, Bradly; step-grandsons Ben and Brandon and numerous great and great-great grandchildren and many other family members and friends. The family will receive friends to share their memories for both George and Vi on November 5, 2016 from 1pm until 2:30pm at the Miami Valley Memory Gardens Chapel. A light luncheon will be served and at 2:30pm there will be a time for reflection with everyone invited to speak.
