Obituary of John Martin Kilburn

KILBURN, John Martin age 85 of Morrow, Ohio passed peacefully Friday, October 28, 2016 at Pine Ridge Nursing Center with his family by his side. Born March 18, 1931 in Turtlecreek Township, Ohio, John was the son of Roy and Mertella (Gibson) Kilburn and was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. John serviced his country proudly in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1954 and was a lifelong member of the VFW. John enjoyed traveling, spending time with family, cooking and a good card game. Preceded in death by his parents, brothers Russell, Wayne, Charlie, Jack and Dick; John leaves behind his loving wife Rhonda Kilburn of Morrow, Ohio; sons john Kilburn of Covington, Kentucky and Jack Kilburn of Blanchester, Ohio and daughter Kimberly (Craig) Miller of Thomasville, North Carolina; brother Les (Marilyn) Kilburn of Morrow, Ohio; grandchildren John (Trennica) Kilburn of Blue Ash, Andy Kilburn of Covington, Kentucky, Michael and Gabriel Kilburn of Blue Ash, Serna Kilburn of Springboro, Brittany Kilburn of Blanchester, Jack Kilburn of Morrow, Kacy Miller of North Carolina, McKenzie Miller and Benjamin of Thomasville, North Carolina and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, November 1, 2016 from 10am until 12pm at the First Baptist Church of South Lebanon, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at the church at 12pm with Pastor David Frasure officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the Morrow Cemetery, Morrow, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to VFW Post 6069 located on Silver Street in Lebanon, Ohio.
