Obituary of Ruth Pierce

uth G Pierce's obituary: 09/08/1916-09/19/2106 Ruth George Pierce, 100, passed peacefully. in her sleep September 19, 2016. Ruth was born in Okeana, Ohio and was one of six children of Homer and Blanche George. She was a near life long resident of Warren County and Lebanon, Ohio. She was a graduate of Lebanon High School in the class of 1936. Ruth was married to William C. Pierce in 1938 and they were destined to experience 62 years of loving togetherness. They had 2 daughters Billie Pierce Mason and Kitty Pierce Sprinkle, two grandchildren Molly Bishop Taylor and Kelly Sprinkle Bradley and 2 great grandchildren Charley Bolder and Drew Taylor. Shortly after Graduation from high school she was employed for 35 years by the Golden Lamb Inn where she performed numerous duties including the management and buying of the Inn's original gift shop Ruth was an avid collector of antiques and was proprietor of "Red Hall" antiques for many years and retired at 85. She loved to travel, decorate, and belonged to several social clubs. She enjoyed membership in the Warren County Historical Society and the Country Side YMCA Ruth was blessed with bountiful energy and devoted her few spare moments to the creation of novel handicrafts and her book, "Lamb Tails". Ruth also starred in several commercials For LCNB. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Harold, sister Lucille, brother Jim, and husband Bill. She is survived by Daughters Billie and Kitty, and twin brother and sister Robert and Roberta. Memorial services will be held at the Lebanon Presbyterian Church Thursday November 10th. The family will greet friends from 4-5 pm with services at 5pm. The Pierce family would like to extend our gratitude to the staff of the Middletown Hospice for and loving care. Memorials may be made in Ruth's name to the Middletown Hospice 3909 Central Ave, Middletown Ohio 45044 A memorial service will be held Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 5pm at the Lebanon Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the memorial service.
