Dan was our mail carrier and was not only the best at what he did (delivered many times to our door in bad weather), but also a fun and considerate person. We will miss that smiling face and drumming on our door while he waited for us to open it. He was the best and will be missed.

We were stunned and saddened today to hear of Danny's passing! He was our mail carrier here in downtown Montgomery. He climbed our long flight of stairs everyday to collect our mail and never complained, always had a smile and would grab a drink from our water cooler before heading on his way. He will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family. Rest in peace, Danny!

I was so shocked to hear of Danny's death this morning. He was our regular mail carrier at Montgomery Elementary and I loved to chat with him every day when he came in. He will be sorely missed. Prayers and love to his family.

Danny was an awesome guy and one of the best drummers I have ever heard. I always had it in the back of my mind that we would get together and jam again. I am proud to have known him and truly sorry to see him go. He will always be in my thoughts. He was more than just family, he was a friend.

Dan and I were old friends and we went to grade school together. We also had many mutual friends in the music scene in Cincinnati over the years. He was a very good friend to me when we were kids and we recently rekindled that friendship and he will truly be missed by many people. My deepest sympathies to the family and friends. Danny is one of my best friends, band mate and brother of over 25 years. He is one of the purest souls I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. He is a generous and caring person who would do just about anything for anyone. His childlike innocence and love of life is inspiring and I don't know of anyone who ever knew him that didn't like him. I want to thank the family for including myself and my family in their grieving and in celebrating his life. I count it a privilege and a blessing to be able to be involved in any way. If any of you ever need anything please do not hesitate to ask. Even as we grieve he is still making us laugh and smile to this day and will for the rest of our lives.
I love you brother and I thank you for sharing your time in this life with my family and I. You will be very sorely missed.

To the Hayden Family and Friends, My husband Greg and I are so sorry for your loss. Dan has been our postman for several years and we very much looked forward to his visits every day as did our German Shepherd, Sicari, whom he loved and watched grow up from 10 weeks old when she started coming to our store. With his endearing love for people, Danny walked his walk to the beat of his many gifts. A Steve McQueen charm coupled with Ginger Baker talent, Danny captured the love, appreciation and admiration of all of us who were fortunate to have worked with him.Dan was blessed with the grace to show goodness, humor and an endless smile even on the toughest of days. We are Josh Joneses parents and have had the privilege of being with Jonathan and Danny at their home many times. What sweet people . Always enjoyed their company. Judson considers Jonathan a great friend - and Michele and Josh adored them both. PLease know that many people care deeply.
