Obituary of Glenda Joyce Gillen

GILLEN, Glenda Joyce (nee Pennington) age 70 of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Bethesda North hospital. Born June 11, 1946 in Evendale, Ohio, Glenda was the daughter of Jay and Mildred (nee Scott) Pennington and was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Glenda was a 1964 graduate if William Mason High School and was a retired Baker from Big Bear in Lebanon. During her spare time, Glenda enjoyed singing to her grandchildren, camping, traveling and bowling. Preceded in death by her father Jay Pennington, Glenda leaves behind her loving husband of 51 years William "Bill" Gillen of Lebanon, Ohio; sons Duane (Monica) Gillen and Damon Gillen both of Lebanon, Ohio; daughter Donelle (Dwight) Williams of Lebanon, Ohio; mother Mildred Pennington of Lebanon, Ohio; brothers Jerry (Sherry) Pennington and Ronnie (Donna) Pennington both of Mason, Ohio; sister Brenda Butler of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren Adrian (Michael) Bates, Alexandra Gillen, Taylor Gillen, Haley Gillen, Krista Williams, Keith Williams and Zoey Gillen; great-grandchildrenJeremiah Bates and Carolyn Lewis and her special K9 companion Sammy K. Friends may call on the family Sunday, August 21, 2016 from 4pm until 6pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. A second visitation hour will be held Monday, August 22, 2016 from 10am until10:30am followed by the funeral service at 10:30am with Pastor Dave Bickers officiating. Burial will follow in the Lebanon Cemetery, Lebanon, Ohio.
