Obituary of Juanita Blankenship

BLANKENSHIP, Juanita (nee Browning) age 89 of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Tuesday morning, July 26, 2016 at the Cedarview Health Care in Lebanon, Ohio surrounded by her loving family. Born October 4, 1926 in Lee County, Kentucky, Juanita was the daughter of Wilson and Hallie (Hogan) Browning and was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Juanita enjoyed reading (especially Nancy Drew books), strawberry sundaes and spending time with her family. Preceded in death by her parents husband Hugh Blankenship in 1967,brothers John, Rouster, Ben and Mike and sisters Pauline, Cleo and Revilla; Juanita leaves behind her loving daughters Janice Craig of South Lebanon, Ohio, Claudia Grassey of New York, Tina (Kevin) Hurtt of Arkansas and Darlene (Dennie) Hicks of Mason, Ohio; one brother Hoover (Herbert) Browning of Florida; grandchildren Thomas, Gerald, Patrick and Daniel Craig, Denelle, Drew, and David Hicks, Ricky and Claire Grassey, Whitney McCutcheon, Natalie Williams, Kristopher and Elizabeth Hurtt; great-grandchildren Maceon, Marleigh McCutcheon and Madelyn McCutcheon, Caroline and Avery Hicks and Cole Howard and many other family members and friends. The family will receive friends Friday, July 29, 2016 from 10am until 11am at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11am with Pastor Steve Tufts officiating. Burial will follow in the Deerfield Cemetery, South Lebanon, Ohio.
