Obituary of Brenda Sue Manuel

MANUEL, Brenda S. (nee Shepherd) age 64 of Lebanon, Ohio passed unexpectedly Sunday, June 19, 2016 at Southview Medical Center in Centerville, Ohio. Born April 7, 1952 in Lee County, Virginia, Brenda was the daughter of James and Reba (Clasby) Shepherd and was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to all who knew her. Many will remember Brenda from her years of service at the Grandview Medical Center in Dayton where she worked in the Endo Unit as a Patient Assistant. During her spare time, Brenda enjoyed her dog Sadie, sewing alongside her mother Reba making items for sale at Country Applefest, baking, following the Cincinnati Reds and most of all her family. Preceded in death by her parents and brother Vincent Shepherd; Brenda leaves behind her loving family - daughter Christina (Steve) Swoll of Franklin, Ohio, brother Jim Shepherd; sister Pat (Alan) Kirk of Clarksville, Ohio; nephew Christopher (Amy McCleese) Kirk; niece Jessica Tice and grandsons Blake, Beckett and Bryce and many other family members and friends. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 23, 2016 from 11am until 1pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 1pm with Pastor Doug Sibcy officiating. Burial will follow in the Lebanon Cemetery, Lebanon, Ohio.
