Obituary of Rex Lynn Johnson
JOHNSON, Rex Lynn age 63 of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Sunday, May 8, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born November 20, 1952 in Oceanside, California, Rex was the son of James Edward and Wilma Jean (Wilson) Johnson and was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother and friend to all who knew him. Rex was an elder and church council member of the Cornerstone Church of God and was also known as "Mr. Fix-It" at the church. Rex was a 1970 graduate of Lebanon High School and a retired computer engineer at Wright Patterson AFB. During his spare time, Rex enjoyed coaching men's softball, fishing in Canada, cheering for the Cleveland Browns, riding his Harley and spending time with his family. Preceded in death by his parents; Rex leaves behind his loving wife of 45 years Cheryl (Butler) Johnson of Lebanon, Ohio; son Jeremy (Jodi) Johnson of Alexandria, Virginia, daughter Kari Ann Johnson of Cincinnati, brother Ron (Terry) Johnson of Germantown, special nephews Ryan, Matt & Donnie and lastly his favorite K9 companion Raisin.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, May 11, 2016 from 5pm until 8pm at the Cornerstone Church of God, Lebanon, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at the church Thursday, May 12, 2016 at 11am with Pastor Brandon Sinclair and Reverend Orville Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in the Miami Valley Memory Gardens, Centerville, Ohio.
