Obituary of Clarence Edward Kaufman

KAUFMAN, Clarence Edward age 80 of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Saturday evening, April 30, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born September 30, 1935 in Wartburg, Tennessee, Clarence was the son of David Leonard and Carrie Estelle (Byrd) Kaufman and was a retired carpenter. Clarence was a member of the Urbancrest Baptist Church and Carpenters Union 104. In his spare time, Clarence enjoyed landscaping, helping others with carpentry work and spending time with his family. Preceded in death by his parents, son Ralph Edward Kaufman, brothers Leonard "Bud" Kaufman and sisters Lucille Honeycutt and Janelle Dautel; Clarence leaves behind his loving wife of 61 years Dorothy Marie (Powers) Kaufman of Lebanon, Ohio; sons Daniel "Dan" (Nancy) Kaufman of West Chester, Tim (Elaine) Kaufman of Lebanon, Ohio and Douglas (Shelly) Kaufman of Lebanon, Ohio; brothers Dalton (Cleatis) Kaufman of Lebanon, Ohio and Gene (Mary) Kaufman of Tennessee; sister Marilyn O'Bleness of North Carolina; grandchildren Daniel and Matthew Kaufman, Annie Blankenship,Josh, Andrew and Elizabeth Kaufman and grandchildren Camren and Bayne Kaufman and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, May 3, 2016 from 6pm until 8pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at 11am at the Urbancrest Baptist Church located on Drake Road, Lebanon with Pastor Howard Pauley officiating. Burial will follow in the Lebanon Cemetery, Lebanon, Ohio. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Southwest Ohio.
