Obituary of Lavona fFern Whitcomb

WHITCOMB, Lavona Fern (nee Deardorff) age 93 of West Chester, Ohio passed peacefully Saturday morning, April 9, 2016 at Hospice of Cincinnati. Born June 18, 1922 in Cottage, Ohio, Lavona was the daughter of Rev. Charles H. and Emma (Byer) Deardorff and was the youngest of 13 children. Livonia was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother and a retiree from the Ohio Department of Transportation. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles Robert Whitcomb in 2008 and all twelve of her siblings; Lavona leaves behind her loving son James A. Whitcomb (Sheri) of Kings Mills, Ohio and daughter Kathleen Fortenberry of Marietta, Georgia; three grandchildren Jonathan, Angela and Alison and eight great-grandchidlren Michael, Rowan, Chloe, Asher, Olivia, Emily, Gurin and Alex and many other family members and friends. The family has requested private services.
