Obituary of Roy Poff

POFF, Roy age 91 of Franklin, Ohio passed peacefully Monday, March 21, 2016 at Lebanon Country Manor surrounded by his loving family. Born December 19, 1924 in Berea, kentucky, Roy was the son of Edward and Susie (Lake) Poff and was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Roy was a retired Concrete Construction Foreman and during his retirement he enjoyed spending his winters in Spring Hill, Florida, gardening, deep sea fishing and playing cards. Preceded in death by his parents, brothers Charles, JD, Bobby and one infant brother, sisters Dorothy Halstead, Nora Holloman, Kathleen Alpaugh, Bernice Fogle and Eudie Walker and brother-in-law Maurice Flagg; Roy leaves behind his loving wife of 61 years Jean (Busby) Poff Of Franklin, Ohio; children Mark (Cindy) Poff of Lebanon, Ohio, Rick (Trudy) Poff of Bellbrook, Ohio, Barry (Lisa) Poff of Lebanon, Ohio and Tina (Greg) Collins of Lebanon, Ohio; brother Jack (Margie) Poff of Franklin, Ohio, sisters Janet p(John)Cataline of Loveland, Ohio, Sue Ann Wade of Springboro, Ohio and Barb (Tom) Ellingworth of Florida; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, March 31, 2016 from 5pm until 7:30pm at the Stine Kilburn funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home at 7:30pm. Graveside committal will be held Friday, April 1, 2016 at 11am at the Miami Valley Memory Gardens, Centerville. The family appreciates memorial donations that are directed to Hospice of Cincinnati.
