Obituary of Phyllis Barker

BARKER, Phyllis A. (Lutz) age 79 of Lebanon, Ohio and formerly of Bainbridge and Columbus Ohio passed peacefully Monday morning May 7, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family. Born April 21, 1933 in Cleveland, Ohio, Phyllis was the daughter of Orda O. and Mildred M. (Potts) Lutz and was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Phyllis attended the Fellowship Chapel in Union Township, loved traveling, collecting antiques and was considered a second mom to many of her children's friends. Preceded in death by her parents, brothers Richard and Robert Lutz; Phyllis leaves behind her loving husband of 61 years William A. Barker of Lebanon, Ohio; sons Michael L. (Dorothy) Barker of Fairfield, Ohio and Richard W. (Linda) Barker of Columbus, Ohio; daughter Mary Ann (Donald) Mead of Fairfield, Ohio; sisters Shirley Bailey and Joann M. Ream of Greenfield, Indiana and Martha (Paul) Mikesell of Columbus, Ohio, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Friends may call on the family Thursday evening, May 10, 2012 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Friday morning, May 11, 2012 at 10:00am at the funeral home with Reverend William Snider officiating. Burial will follow in the Bainbridge Township Cemetery in Bainbridge, Ohio. The family appreciates memorial donations that are directed to Hospice of Southwest Ohio.
