Obituary of John Hobbs

HOBBS, John age 87 of South Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Sunday afternoon, February 7, 2016 at the Quaker Heights Nursing Home in Waynesville, Ohio. Born June 5, 1928 in Booneville, Kentucky, John was the son of Hugh and Sudie Hobbs and was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. John enjoyed gardening, farm, railroad and spending time with his family. Preceded in death by his parents, wife Malvary (Bryant) Hobbs, son Clint Hobbs, brothers Roy, Floyd, Clay, Bill, Sherman and Ped and sisters Nellie, Mattie and Nettie; John leaves behind his loving children Vernon Ray Hobbs, Sr, Jesse Ray Hobbs and Rick Hobbs, Faye Lee, Nancy Bowman Freda Combs, Dorothy Mae Combs, Beatrice Meyers and Robin Stamper; twelve grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 10, 2016 from 11am until 1pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home, Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 1pm with Pastor Lonnie Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in the Deerfield Cemetery, South Lebanon, Ohio. The family appreciates memorial donations that are directed to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
