Obituary of Geneva Leonard

LEONARD, Geneva (nee Hannah) age 93 of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Monday, January 25, 2016 at the Atrium Medical Center. Born April 27, 1922 in Harrison County, Kentucky, Geneva was the daughter of Samuel and Hattie (nee Keller) Hannah and was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.. Geneva was a dedicated member of the Urbancrest Baptist Church just north of Lebanon, Ohio. During World War II, Geneva was a "Rosie the Riveter" and worked for the Wright Aeronautical Corporation in Cincinnati, Ohio. During her later years, Geneva was a cashier at the former Corwin's IGA store in Lebanon, Ohio. Preceded in death by her parents, first husband Earnest Fooks, second husband Glen Leonard, son Douglas Glen Leonard, brothers Jack, Lee, Bogie, Gene, Tom & John Hannah and sister Eulah Dubowski; Geneva leaves behind her loving grandson Sam (Catherine) Leonard of Virginia, daughter-in-law Judith Leonard of Virginia; sister-in-law Edith Hannah and many nieces, nephews and other family members. The family will receive friends Friday evening, January 29, 2016 from 6pm until 8pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Saturday morning, January 30, 2016 at 11am with Pastor Howard Pauley officiating. Burial will follow in the Lebanon Cemetery, Lebanon, Ohio. The family appreciates memorial donations that are directed to the Urbancrest Baptist Church Food Basket Fund.
