Obituary of Stanley Rice

RICE, Stanley age 80 of South Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Hospice of Cincinnati Blue Ash surrounded by his loving family. Born July 13, 1935 in Clay County, Kentucky; Stanley was the son of Henry and Aley (Bishop) Rice and was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Stanley served his country proudly and retired from the U.S. Air Force then retired from the Warren Correctional Institution where he was a Corrections Officer. During his spare time, Stanley enjoyed coin and stamp collecting and spending time with his family. Preceded in death by his parents and brother Charles Rice; Stanley leaves behind his loving wife of 29 years Josephine (Baker) Rice of South Lebanon, Ohio; sons Stanley (Jeri) Rice Jr., Cliff (Cheri) Rice, Tony Rice and David Rice all of Texas, Dewey (Carla) Gambrel of Lebanon, Ohio, Odie Gambrel of South Lebanon, Ohio and Jimmy Dale (Tina) Gambrel of Franklin, Ohio; daughters Patty Rice of Texas, Julie Ann Gambrel of South Lebanon, Ohio and Lucy (Scott) Gambrel of Manville, Ohio; brothers Willie Rice of Texas and Fred Rice of Lima, Ohio; nineteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and many other family members and friends. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 24, 2016 from 6pm until 8pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 25, 2016 at 1pm at the funeral home with burial to follow in the Deerfield Cemetery, South Lebanon, Ohio.
