Obituary of Edith E. Short

SHORT, Edith E. (nee Smith) age 100 of Milford, Ohio passed peacefully Thursday, November 5, 2015 at the Arbors of Milford Care Center in Milford, Ohio. Born May 29, 1915 in Wayne county, West Virginia, Edith was the daughter of Samuel and Sarah (Napier) Smith and was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Edith was a well known self-taught seamstress and was known for making wedding dresses. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Roy Short in 1987, brother Lucian Smith, sisters Ethel Hale and Hazel Childers and daughter-in-law Bettye Short; Edith leaves behind her loving son Lowell Short of Milford, Ohio; brother Lafe Vernon Smith of Kentucky; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. the family will receive friends Saturday, November 7, 2015 from 11am until 1pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 1pm with Reverend Kenneth Castle officiating. Burial will follow in the Morrow Cemetery, Morrow, Ohio.
