Obituary of Hershel Keeton

KEETON, Hershel age 84 of Oregonia, Ohio passed peacefully Thursday afternoon, October 8, 2015 at his residence with his family by his side. Born June 28, 1931 in Morgan County, Kentucky, Hershel was the son of William Hager and Zona (Crase) Keeton and was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Hershel worked for General Motors and retired with 30 years of service. Hershel enjoyed hunting, fishing and yard work but most of all spending time with his family. Preceded in death by his parents, daughter Diana Lynn rose in 1997, infant brother Isaac Keetin, sister Norma Brondell Yelton and brother-in-law Dennis Stewart; Hershel leaves behind his loving wife of 64 years Margie Sue (Jackson) Keeton of Oregonia, Ohio; son Hershel Wayne (Kathy) Keeton of Clarksville, Ohio; daughters Zona Ann keeton of Oregonia, Ohio and Connie Sue (Clay) Lawson of Clarksville, Ohio; brothers Ishmael (Lorraine) Keeton of New York, Danny (Mary Rose) Keeton of Verona,Kentucky and Donnie (Mary Lee) Keeton of Warsaw, Kentucky; sister Merieda Blanche Stewart of Falmouth, Kentucky; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren and many other family members and friends. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, October 13, 2015 from 11am until 12noon at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 12noon with Pastor Shawn Watson officiating. Burial will follow in the Deerfield Cemetery, South Lebanon, Ohio.
