Obituary of Penny Sue Steele-Brown

Penny Steele - Brown, 53, died October 3, 2015 at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 2pm until 4pm with a memorial service at 4pm Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Stine and Kilburn Funeral Home. She was born January 26th, 1962 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Dan and Mary Pleasant. Her father was a chiropractor and mother worked for Red Cross. Penny spent most of her career in the medical field. She obtained her paramedic’s license and worked as a full-time paramedic and fire-fighter for Lebanon, Ohio's Fire Department. A few years later, she became a dispatcher for Tri-Health. During her stay at Tri-Health, she met Marty Brown and moved to Cynthiana, KY. Penny loved re-purposing and restoring antique American crafts which included pottery, furniture, baskets and various knick-knacks. Most of all, she loved visiting family. She is survived by her husband, Marty Brown; sons, Bruce and Eric Steele; and grand-daughter, Kylie Steele. She was preceded in death by her sister: Mary-Ann Pleasant.
