Obituary of Geraldine F. Sempsrott

SEMPSROTT, Geraldine F. (nee Davis) age 82 of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Friday, August 28, 2015 at the Otterbein Retirement Community. Born June 3, 1933 in Cincinnati, Ohio, Geraldine was the daughter of Clifton and Mary (Greene) Davis and was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her. Geraldine was a lifelong resident of Lebanon, Ohio and a member of the Lebanon First Church of God. Geraldine held many jobs during her working career including working at the Lebanon Baby Shop, the Lebanon City Schools in the cafeteria and the Warren County Recorder's Office. Geraldine enjoyed Swedish weaving, pottery, reading, playing guitar, singing in a quartet and rehabbing homes together with her husband of 65 years James Sempsrott. Preceded in death by her parents, son Larry in 2014 and sister Stella Jo; Geraldine leaves behind her loving husband James "Jim" Sempsrott of Lebanon, Ohio; son Jeff (Jamie) Sempsrott of Dayton, Ohio; daughters Beverly (Steve) Taylor of Lebanon, Ohio, Cathy (Tracy) Stephens of Lebanon, Ohio and Karen Sempsrott of Loveland, Ohio; brothers Carol Lee Davis of Hamilton, Ohio and Robert "Bud" Davis of Arizona; sister Eva Joy of Morrow, Ohio; grandchildren Ian, Alex, Kelli and Kerri and great grandchildren Jodi, JR and Olivia and many other family members and friends. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at 11:00am at the Lebanon First Church of God, 880 Franklin Road, Lebanon, Ohio with Pastor Tracy Stephens officiating.
