Obituary of Carroll F. Mayes

MAYES, Carroll F. (nee Slaven) age 80 of Panama City, Florida passed peacefully August 21, 2015 at Covenant Care @ Bay Med in Panama City Beach, Florida. Born December 20, 1934 in Hatspat, Kentucky, Carroll was the daughter of Roy and Artie Mae (Collins) Slaven and was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Carroll had worked for many years at the Fred's Mushroom Plant in South Lebanon. Preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Willie Mayes; siblings Mary Magdalene Collins, Lillian Kelly, Allene Combs, Addie Mae Flynn, Mildred Jean Rogers, Louada Turner, Harvey Slaven and David Slaven, son-in-laws Dallas Hensley and Mark Stephenson: Carroll leaves behind her loving children Robert (Carol) Williams and Dora Stephenson; siblings Lonnie Hensley, Pam (Dwight) Adams, and Melinda (Don) Flynn; grandchildren Shane (Kristin) Williams, Vanessa (David) Hookam, Laura (Scott) Berger, Amanda Mayes, Shawn (Beth) Williams and C.J. (Greg) Green; great-grandchildren Shayne and Hagen Williams, Jacob Derby, Gabriel and Ethan Misso, Kaitlyn Berger, Lucas Hernandez, Abigail, Seth and Mackenzie Williams and Trey and Malaya Green and many other family members and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 2pm at the First Baptist Church of South Lebanon with Pastor Dave Frasure officiating. burial will follow in the Deerfield Cemetery, South Lebanon, Ohio.
