Obituary of Phyllis Baker

BAKER, Phyllis age 67 of South Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Wednesday morning, June 24, 2015 at her residence with her loving family and friends by her side. Born December 22, 1947 in Manchester, Kentucky, Phyllis was the daughter of Kenus and Nannie (Stidum) Baker and was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew her. Phyllis was a 44 year resident of South Lebanon. Preceded in death by her parents, brothers Rollie and Elmer Baker and sisters Oma, Sophie and Thelma Allen and Rosa Lee Wass and Mae and Virgie Baker; Phyllis leaves behind her loving son Shannon (Tammy) Baker of Dayton, Ohio; grandchildren Brayton and Reagan; brothers Dan Baker of Sexton's Creek, Kentucky and Wallace Baker of Tyner, Kentucky; sisters Aline Allen of South Lebanon and Flora Allen of Lebanon, Ohio. Phyllis married Clinton Baker in 1971. They had a loving son, Shannon, whom Phyllis loved so very much. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and prayer warrior to all who knew her. She was a true Christian lady. Calling hours will be held Saturday, June 27, 2015 from 11am until 1pm at the Anchor of Hope Church located on Settlemire Road, Lebanon, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at the church at 1pm with Reverend Bill Lamb and Reverend Mitchell Baker officiating. Burial will follow in the Deerfield Cemetery, South Lebanon, Ohio. The family wishes to thank the staff of Hospice of Cincinnati for all of their kind words and help during her illness and passing. Memorial donations may be directed to the funeral home to assist with expenses.
