Obituary of Christopher H. Yancey

YANCEY, Christopher H. "The Handyman" and "Crit" age 85 of South Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Monday evening, June 1, 2015 at his residence. Born December 27, 1929 in Hazard, Kentucky, Christopher was the son of Henry and Nola (Tyree) Yancey and was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Christopher was retired from the Ford Motor Company with 30 years of service. In his spare time, Christopher (known as the Handyman) spent time repairing televisions, vacuum cleaners and VCR's. Preceded in death by his parents, loving wife Irene Yancey in 2008 and brothers Norman, Leeman and Odell; Christopher leaves behind his loving children Michael Yancey of Middletown, Ohio and Christopher (Tina) Yancey of Corona, California; daughters Delores (Forest) Weddington of South Lebanon, Ohio and Christine (Tony Williams) Brown of Loveland, Ohio;; sister Phyllis Price of Abileen, Texas; grandchildren Teresa Hughes, Lisa DesJarlais, Michelle Weddington, Michael Weddington, Sandra Hacker, Dale Allen, Jason Brown, Kristy Yancey, Aaron Yancey, Joshua Yancey, Jessica Yancey and Ryan Yancey: great-grandchildren Dusty Hughes, Chris DesJarlais, Corey DesJarlais, Ashlee Hacker, AJ Hacker, Jami Clark, Cameron Clark, Avery Brown, Aubrey Brown, Nicholas Cabrerra, Kelce Cabrerra, Jonathan Steckhardt, Colin Yancey, Payton Perovich and Presley Petrovich; and great-great grandchildren Zoey, Logan, Hunter, Maizy, Cole and Layla. The family will receive friends Saturday, June 6, 2015 from 11am until 1pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 1pm with Pastor Larry Fultz officiating. Burial with Military Honors to follow in the Deerfield Cemetery, South Lebanon, Ohio.
