Jim was preceded in death by his father James "Big Jim" Bove of Lebanon. Fondly referred to by family as "Little" Jim, was the son of Big Jim and Billie Bove who owned and operated Pasquale's Pizza in Lebanon from 1958 to 1978. Jim graduated from Lebanon City schools in 1971. He was part of the 1970 championship team and played varsity basketball 3 of his 4 years at Lebanon High school under Coach Ron Holtrey. He attended Cumberland College in Kentucky but returned home to work in the family business. Jim worked for the City of Lebanon, Lebanon Raceway and Warren County Auditor's Office. He retired as a Deputy Auditor in 2009. Jim loved music, racing and hanging out with his "adopted" brothers: Bert, Steve, Ernie, Rick(s), Dale, Tom(s), and George(s). He was always looking for the next venue to hear his favorite bands. Jim himself played the keyboards and guitar. He could read music but also played by ear. Some of us were lucky enough to hear him play his favorite guitar, one given to him by family friend Glen Campbell. In the 70s Jim was part of the band called the Shapes that appeared on the Skipper Ryle show. In the 80s Jim was the track photographer for Queen City Raceway. This is were he developed his love of auto racing, one that he shared with all his family and friends. Jim and Pam spent all their free time going to concerts, races and enjoying time with family and friends. They were also fortunate to have spent 2 weeks traveling the East coast last fall. Jim lost his battle with pancreatic cancer just 19 days after diagnosis. The family want to give special thanks to medical/nursing staff at Bethesda North Hospital and Warren County Sheriff's officer M. Anderson. A reception will be held following the memorial service at the Lebanon Elks Lodge second floor located on Mulberry Street in downtown Lebanon.
