Obituary of Harriette Brown Scruggs

BROWN SCRUGGS, Harriette (nee McCarley) age 92 of Morrow, Ohio passed peacefully Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Bethesda North Hospital. Born September 13, 1922 in Moore, South Carolina, Harriet was the daughter of William Hayne and Nancy Adeline (Lanford) McCarley and was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Harriette was a retired sales agent from the Meijer Company. Preceded in death by her parents; Harriette leaves behind her loving husband Bryan W. Scruggs of Morrow, Ohio; son Danny (Becky) Scruggs of Mason, Ohio; daughters Karen (Bob) Mobley of Blanchester, Ohio and Joy (Chris) Potzick of Morrow, Ohio; grandchildren Daniel Scruggs, Michael (Kimberly) Scruggs, Alison (Adam) Holbrook, Bryan (Renee) Mobley, Erica Potzick, Sarah Cook and Kayla Potzick; ten great-grandchildren and many other family members and friends. The family will receive friends Friday evening, March 6, 2015 from 6pm until 8pm at the Cornerstone Church of God, 1004 Columbus Avenue, Lebanon, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at the church Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 1pm with Reverend Orville Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in the Murdock Cemetery, Maineville, Ohio.
