Obituary of Marshall Putnam

PUTNAM, Marshall Young of Nashville, Tennessee passed away peacefully at the age of 83 June 13, 2011 with his family by his side. Born the son of Woodrow Jable and Hettie (Gill) Putnam he was raised in Nashville. He retired from the L & N Railroad and the State of Tennessee and served his country in World War II as a Screaming Eagle in the 101st Airborne Division. His hobbies were collecting guns and fishing. Preceded in death by his parents, his wife Gegina (Finney) Putnam, brother John Putnam and grandson Marty Putnam, he leaves behind his sons Marshall and James Putnam, daughter-in-law Julie Putnam, grandchildren Stephanie and Rahcael Putnam and several great-grandchildren. A graveside service with military honors will be held Friday, August 26, 2011 at 10:30am in the Woodlawn Memorial Park, Nashville.
